Family
Ministries
As a family
of believers, we share God's desire that all people might come to know
Christ and walk with Him daily. Bible study, worship, and prayer are
necessary for that relationship to grow. Shawnee Heights
Baptist Church seeks to lead individuals to satisfy their spiritual
hunger through an atmosphere of praise, learning, and fellowship.
Sunday school classes for all ages meet each
week before the morning worship service to study God's Word. Worship
services are conducted non-traditionally, praising the Lord through
a blended use of praise choruses and traditional hymns.

Our children will become the leaders of the future, and Shawnee
Heights recognizes their needs and potential right now.
Children's church presents God’s Word in an exciting and nurturing
way for children ages six and below. Infants and toddlers are
cared for by competent workers in our colorful and cheery nursery.
School age children learn about God's love through Sunday
School, Children's camps, Vacation Bible School, and AWANA.
Vacation Bible School consists of one week in the summer
when children learn through a focused Bible study theme, and can enjoy
crafts, snacks, and recreation. AWANA is a Children's Bible Club
that meets on Sunday evenings at 5:55 p.m. during the school year.
AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed"
(2 Timothy 2:15), and is totally scripture based. The main goals
of AWANA include communicating the Gospel on a child's level, and helping
children learn to grow in their relationship with their Lord and Savior.
