About Our Church
There may be other churches in Topeka that are bigger, but you won't find a church that works harder at "being family" than Shawnee Heights. With God's help we are growing in our ability to be a spiritual family, maintain a character of mutual encouragement, love and caring, and spiritual accountability.
Sunday service
Worship
is an important part of what we do at Shawnee Heights. Our music is a blended
format of familiar hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs. Our worship
team is made up of piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, and
violin.
The
preaching is fresh and up to date with contemporary topics that speak to the
everyday needs and concerns of those who attend. Attendees are given the
opportunity to publically respond to the messages and new believers are
encouraged to experience water baptism.
The
atmosphere is friendly and the relationships are family like. Bring your family
